Reverend Robert L. Campbell is a Minister at New Beginning Christian Church.
He works with the Wilmington Ministerial Alliance, East NC Countywide Development
Corporation and the Wilmington Blue Ribbon Commission.
Reverend Campbell serves to change “lives through the power of the gospel.”
His Ministry and Community Activities allow him to share God’s message and mobilize
the people to change their Communities.
Working with other Ministers through the Wilmington Ministerial Alliance, Reverend
Campbell effects change through voter participation and education. Participating
churches in Wilmington joined Souls to the Polls assisting with voter registration,
election and voter information, transportation to polling places on Election
Day.
He also serves on the Blue Ribbon Commission on the Prevention of Youth Violence.
The Commission builds/built a Youth Enrichment Zone in Northside Wilmington
to “decrease in crime, higher graduation rates and a bright future for children.”
East NC CDC is out of Beaufort and has impacted many Southeastern counties of
North Carolina. East Carolina CDC assists with providing quality low income
housing, access to small business capital and social outreach programs.
His past Civic involvement includes Wilmington Health Access for Teens (WHAT),
Family Neighborhood Initiative, Disproportionate Minority Contact, New Hanover
County Human Relations Commission, Closing the Achievement Gap and Child Advocacy
Commission.
Reverend Campbell enlisted in the United States Marine Corps after High School.
He retired after serving 26 years as a Commissioned Officer. He has a Bachelor’s
Degree in Business Administration and a Master’s Degree in Management. He is
currently working on his Master’s Degree in Divinity Studies.
New Beginning Christian Church is what Reverend Campbell likes to call a contemporary
Ministry in a contemporary way of traditional gospel. Many traditional ministries
are offered such as Hospitality, Prayer, Membership, Ushers and Youth Ministry.
The contemporary ministry side offers its congregation Dance, DIVAS, Men of
Valor, Prison Outreach, Singles and Sister to Sister and Step Team.
