The New Hanover County Board of Education is seeking applicants for consideration for appointment to the new D.C. Virgo Urban Prep Charter Academy Board. They will appoint three individuals to serve staggered terms on the new charter school board.  In order to achieve the staggered terms, the New Hanover County Board of Education will set the initial terms for their three members as one, two, or three-year terms.  After this, all terms will be three years.

Community members interested in being considered should submit a letter of interest and resume to the New Hanover County Board of Education, 6410 Carolina Beach Road, Wilmington, N.C. 28412 or email them to Tabitha.Adams@nhcs.net. The deadline to submit the required documentation is Tuesday, December 27, 2011.  Please include in your letter of interest the reason(s) why you aspire to be appointed and the skill(s) you will bring to the office. If you are also applying to the Blue Ribbon Commission as their appointee, this should be noted.
