A study of Grade 1 and 2 children in rural Alberta confirms that putting kids of all abilities together in regular classes is possible, practical - and positive for everyone involved. The only caveat, says the man who conducted the study, is that educators may need to pay a bit more attention to the school experience of children who are not fully abled.

Because companies and organizations are making more "just-in-time" hiring decisions, the summer hiring season looks brighter for new college graduates who are still looking for a job. Instead of hiring for what they think they will need in the future, employers are hiring more for what they need right now, says Ladd Flock, Director of Career Services at Wake Forest University.

That figure doesn’t include those involuntarily working part-time (one to 34 hours a week) or those who gave up looking for jobs for one reason or another and fell off the unemployment rolls.
New research suggests that pre-school students may gain more language and literacy skills if they have teachers with higher levels of confidence in their abilities. However, in some cases students only saw gains when their teachers also had classrooms that emphasized emotional support for the children.
