In “The Funk & Wag from A to Z” \, originally curated by Ann Harithas for the Nave Museum in Victoria\, TX \, artist Mel Chin extracted images from all 25 volumes of the 1953 Funk & Wagnall’s Encyclopedia and re-edited them a collages\, unleashing the p otentiality of images trapped by historical context.  Chin� �s inspiring piece is showcased alongside new configurations of more recen t works by the artist in this exhibition.

This event\, open to all private duty home care companies\ , will address the latest trends and information in this quickly growing s ervice industry. Many programs and presentations will take place to educat e attendees.

Hundreds of Home Care Providers to meet in Orlando at NPDA Annual Leadership Conference

The non-profit National Private D uty Association (NPDA) will host its Annual Leadership Conference in Orlan do\, Sept. 12-14\, 2012. The theme for the event\, held at the Hilton in t he Walt Disney Resort\, is Transitions in Care – The Time is Now. This y ear’s event will mark the organization’s 10th Anniversary.

The conference\, open to all private dut y home care companies\, will include education programs led by private dut y industry experts\, peer networking and discussion opportunities\, and an industry trade show. Attendees will participate in sessions on topics suc h as successfully running a competitive private duty business\, addressing key clinical issues\, taking advantage of advances in technology\, hiring and keeping the best employees\, increasing profits through quality care and today’s legal and regulatory issues.

Keynote presenters include Dr. Kent Bottles\, who will addres s how private duty home care fits into the transformation of the American clinical delivery system\, human resources expert Mel Kleiman who will sha re his proven process on how to build world-class teams by recruiting\, hi ring and retaining the best employees\, and industry attorney John C. Gill iland\, II will provide a legal update.
