In “The Funk & Wag from A to Z” \, originally curated by Ann Harithas for the Nave Museum in Victoria\, TX \, artist Mel Chin extracted images from all 25 volumes of the 1953 Funk & Wagnall’s Encyclopedia and re-edited them a collages\, unleashing the p otentiality of images trapped by historical context. Chin s inspiring piece is showcased alongside new configurations of more recen t works by the artist in this exhibition.

Child\, inviting you to a special time of celebration\, inspiration\, wor
ship and fellowship as we countdown the days to National Collection Week (
Nov. 12-19) and prepare to share the love and hope of Jesus with over 30\,
000 hurting children all around the world from the Greater Wilmington area
through simple gift-filled shoeboxes!

the midst of tragedy\, loss and instability in Rwanda. Alex will be sha
ring his amazing story of how God forever changed his life when he receive
d a simple shoebox gift while living in an orphanage\, and how God is prep
aring him to be a pastor in his native country of Rwanda!
This
event FREE! Refreshments will be provided immediately following\, along
with the opportunity to pick-up free materials (including GO boxes!) and m
eet with Alex and Area Team Members!
Who is invited? This eve
nt is open to anyone interested in learning more about Operation Christmas
Child and how God continues to use this project to impact children’s li
ves for eternity each year. You will also learn more about The Greatest
Journey (a 12-part Discipleship Program) and how God is raising up agents
of mission from among these children in order to take this same message of
hope and love found in Jesus to their family\, friends and communities! <
