In “The Funk & Wag from A to Z” \, originally curated by Ann Harithas for the Nave Museum in Victoria\, TX \, artist Mel Chin extracted images from all 25 volumes of the 1953 Funk & Wagnall’s Encyclopedia and re-edited them a collages\, unleashing the p otentiality of images trapped by historical context. Chin s inspiring piece is showcased alongside new configurations of more recen t works by the artist in this exhibition.

mind for change. We will merge intention and movement during a gentle\,
flowing evening practice. Bring your journal.

Detox Flow
A powerful\, detox asana flow with twists\, sun salutes\
, mantra and pranayama designed to loosen and release mind-body toxins. M
editation\, chanting and a long sivasana with lots of hands-on Thai Massa
ge techniques will prepare you for the afternoon.

You’ll pair up with anot
her yogi for an afternoon of compassion and self-less sharing through Tha
i Yoga Massage. You’ll be guided through techniques of gentle stretchin
g\, applying acupressure\, and rocking your partner into bliss. Then you
ll have a chance to receive. (Come alone or with a partner. You just ne
ed an open mind and a minimal level of fitness ability.)
This
session ends with meditation\, sharing and journaling as a way to process
your experience.
6-7 PM Evening Beach Meditation

Close the weekend with a balanced
flow\, faster energizing movement and long\, slow holds to release any mi
nd-body issues which surfaced throughout the weekend. End with an intenti
on and goal setting session where you’ll develop a plan for a season of
self-care\, followed by a loving-kindness meditation.
