In “The Funk & Wag from A to Z” \, originally curated by Ann Harithas for the Nave Museum in Victoria\, TX \, artist Mel Chin extracted images from all 25 volumes of the 1953 Funk & Wagnall’s Encyclopedia and re-edited them a collages\, unleashing the p otentiality of images trapped by historical context.  Chin� �s inspiring piece is showcased alongside new configurations of more recen t works by the artist in this exhibition.

Kim Bridi\ , life coach and yoga therapist will take you through practices designed for change and transformation\, using techniques from yoga\, including as ana\, pranayama\, mantra\, meditation\, thai yoga therapy\, and svadhyaya (self-study). All Levels Welcome.

Friday 6-9 pm –- Candlelig ht/ moonlight sankupla and flow.
Set your intention and prepare your mind for change. We will merge intention and movement during a gentle\, flowing evening practice. Bring your journal.

Saturday 9-12 -- Detox Flow
A powerful\, detox asana flow with twists\, sun salutes\ , mantra and pranayama designed to loosen and release mind-body toxins. M editation\, chanting and a long sivasana with lots of hands-on Thai Massa ge techniques will prepare you for the afternoon.

Saturday 2-5 -- Body-Mind Massage (Thai Yoga Therapy)
You’ll pair up with anot her yogi for an afternoon of compassion and self-less sharing through Tha i Yoga Massage. You’ll be guided through techniques of gentle stretchin g\, applying acupressure\, and rocking your partner into bliss. Then you� ��ll have a chance to receive. (Come alone or with a partner. You just ne ed an open mind and a minimal level of fitness ability.)

This session ends with meditation\, sharing and journaling as a way to process your experience.

6-7 PM Evening Beach Meditation

Su nday 9:30 – 12 -- Yin/Yang Flow
Close the weekend with a balanced flow\, faster energizing movement and long\, slow holds to release any mi nd-body issues which surfaced throughout the weekend. End with an intenti on and goal setting session where you’ll develop a plan for a season of self-care\, followed by a loving-kindness meditation.

Escape 2 Sisterhood Weekend V

Our annual wellness retreat for women is quickly approaching. The date is October 12 - 14\, 2 012.  Bring your girlfriends\, sisters\, or even your mom to the Courtyar d Marriott at Carolina Beach\, NC.  Room rates are $169 per night for a S tandard Room (2 queens or 1 king) or $199.00 per night for a Suite (2 quee n beds).  Rooms include  $199.00 includes hot breakfast buffet for 2.

The Early Bird Registration Fee is $100/person for the entire wee kend activities. This is called the 'Full Escape' package. If you purchase this package\, you will not have to pay any additional costs out of pocke t for this retreat besides your hotel room. There is an option if you can' t make the entire weekend escape. The Saturday option is $60/person only u ntil 4pm. This also includes a full lunch buffet and Spiritual Escape with Ericka D. Jackson\, Evangelist and Author.

Our annual Fashion Show component is called 'The Fashion Escape'. This starts Saturday night at 8:00 p.m. The cost is $25/person\, if you haven't purchased the 'Full E scape'. This includes the celebration party afterwards.

Portion s of the proceeds will go to benefit Breast Cancer and Domestic Violence A wareness.
