Spirit of Place:  The Landscape and Spiritual Development, by Barbara-Lynn Freed

Once a worldwide practice, working with Spirit of Place, stretches back tens of thousands of years. And  today, we can still see vestiges of it through myths, legends, shrines, stone circles, and architecture of old. However, it is through the earth’s indigenous peoples and those of us who follow a shamanic path that the custom of Right Relationship with the land still exists today.

In this lecture, we will discuss the meaning of Spirit of Place, and by giving accounts of my own personal experiences with several sacred sites in Great Britain, I will show you how a Spirit of Place can help you to grow spiritually. In closing, we will spend some time communing with the  Spirit of our new Healing Center to receive general messages and personal insights.
