North Hills Kids returning for its second year in 2011. Parents and children of all ages enjoyed foam blocks and a colorful fence that surrounded the Commons each day during Open Play and Creative Exercise. In addition to being able to play, there are several complimentary programs that will occur throughout the season. On Tuesdays, the Traveling Teacher Show has a one hour program incorporating a lesson with a craft. On Tuesday evenings, the Commons turns into center court as the Raleigh Racquet Club hosts “Tuesday Tennis,” complete with a net, balls, rackets, and lessons. “See Spot Read” is a program that occurs periodically throughout the season as well, encouraging children to read in a comfortable setting with the Canine Good Citizen Dogs. Quail Ridge Books and Music Storytime on the Commons finishes up the week, with local authors reading their books to the children and parents.
