DESCRIPTION:<p>The Downtown Raleigh Alliance is the leader and champion for
  a dynamic and vibrant downtown. The Alliance is a guiding force in shapin
 g a healthy center that anchors the city and the region. Through our dedic
 ated board and staff\, we are responsible for providing the following serv
 ices:<br /><br />Economic Development- Act as a facilitator by assisting p
 rospective businesses\, developers and investors\, maintaining a comprehen
 sive database\, developing appropriate marketing materials\, and serving a
 s liaison with City staff and Chamber of Commerce.<br />Advocacy- Provide 
 leadership for projects and activities that will enhance the desirability 
 of the downtown area as a place to live\, work\, play and do business.<br 
 />Marketing- Develop a comprehensive marketing program to support our miss
 ion and raise awareness of the changes occurring in downtown and emphasize
  the importance of downtown as a growing office\, residential\, cultural a
 nd entertainment center in the Triangle.<br />Clean and Safe Ambassador Se
 rvices- A cross between a hotel concierge and a neighborhood watch\, the D
 owntown Ambassadors provide maps\, give directions and information on rest
 aurants\, museums and other attractions\, and provide an additional set of
  eyes and ears for property owners.<br /><br />Who's invited?<br />*Media
