DESCRIPTION:<p><span>Northern Wake Relay for Life is seeking walkers\,  can
 cer Survivors\, caregivers\, community leaders and others interested in  r
 aising cancer awareness for its 2012 Relay For Life event taking place  on
  June 8-9\, 2012\, on the grounds of Richland Creek Community Church\,  32
 29 Burlington Mills Road\, Wake Forest. The opening ceremonies begin at  7
  p.m. and teams will start walking at 7:30 p.m. after cancer Survivors  ki
 ck off the event with the Victory Lap. Because cancer never sleeps\,  Rela
 y For Life is an overnight event. Participants do not have to walk  all ni
 ght\, but each team is asked to have a representative on the track  at all
  times for the duration of the event. Food\, games and activities  includi
 ng several bands\, cornhole tournaments\, and kids’ inflatables  will be
  provided all night for entertainment and fundraising  opportunities. Rela
 y For Life brings together friends\, families\,  businesses\, hospitals\, 
 schools\, faith-based groups and communities to  celebrate the lives of ca
 ncer Survivors\, remember those we have lost and  commit to fighting back 
 against the disease. The theme of this year’s  event is One Community. O
 ne Fight. Who’s Your One? and reminds  participants why they are walking
  and raising funds. Volunteers from  Northern Wake County\, including the 
 towns of North Raleigh\, Rolesville\,  Wake Forest and Youngsville\, are n
 eeded to serve as team captains and  team members for the event. Participa
 nts can join one of the current  teams listed at <a href='http://www.north

 aptain and participant meetings are being held  once a month leading up to
  the June event. The next meeting will take  place at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday
 \, March 6 in the Mill Room at The Factory\,  1839 South Main Street\, Wak
 e Forest. Additional meetings will be held on  April 10 and May 1 at the s
 ame time and place. The Survivor Dinner will  be held on Wednesday\, June 
 6 at Richland Creek Community Church. Anyone  interested in becoming a tea
