DESCRIPTION:<p>The Carolinas Broyhill Youth Development Retreat (CBYDR) is 
 a  version of the Broyhill Leadership Conference created just for GIRLS in
   DSS\, foster care\, or residential children’s homes in North or South 
  Carolina.  CBYDR is a unique\, life-changing experience for the girls who
   attend each year.  During the four-day\, three-night conference\, girls 
  ages 13-19 are challenged to learn\, develop\, and practice leadership an
 d  relationship skills that they will use for the rest of their lives.   W
 hile the content of what we teach at CBYDR is serious and challenging\,  t
 he way in which we teach it appeals to teen girls and puts it on a  level 
 they can understand\, make their own\, and begin to write their own  succe
 ss story!</p>\n<p>At CBYDR you have a unique opportunity to meet other gir
 ls just  like you from all over North and South Carolina.  You will meet g
 irls  who have had similar life experiences and can truly relate to the wa
 y  you feel.  You will have the opportunity to hear their stories and shar
 e  your own\, if you choose.  You will realize that you are not alone.</p>
 \n<p>CBYDR will be held on the campus of Queens University of  Charlotte i
 n Charlotte\, NC from June 18-21\, 2012.  The fee to attend is  only $200.
   This fee includes the curriculum you will use throughout the  week and t
 ake home with you.  It includes supplies for all the  activities you will 
 do during the week.  It also includes 3 nights  lodging and 8 meals (dinne
 r on the first day through breakfast on the  last day).  That is an incred
 ible value that you’ll not find anywhere  else!</p>\n<p>The generosity o
 f the <a href='http://www.broyhill-leadership.org/conference/history.html'
 >Broyhill  Family Foundation</a>\, as well as other private donors\, is re
 sponsible  for helping  to minimize the cost to attend CBYDR.*  Their cont
 ribution  to Tomorrow’s America Foundation each year allows us to offer 
 CBYDR to  girls who are interested in setting goals\, becoming a team play
 er\,  maintaining a positive mental attitude\, communicating more effectiv
 ely\,  cultivating positive relationships\, and making sound moral choices
 .  You  will not find a leadership conference anywhere that offers so many
   years of experience\, has a curriculum and activities designed  specific
 ally for girls just like you\, and is still so affordable.</p>\n<p>We guar
