 </span></p>\n<p>The links between individual and collective liberation are
  inextricable. At  stone circles and The Stone House\, we are committed to
  transformative social  change – a framework and set of tools rooted in 
 sustainability and  interdependence.</p>\n<p>Conference Purpose</p>\n<p>Th
 e purpose of Deep Change North Carolina is to assist leaders\, organizatio
 ns  and movements in North Carolina to incorporate a transformational appr
 oach to  justice work. We believe that by integrating inner or spiritual a
 wareness with  social and structural transformation practitioners can incr
 ease individual  sustainability\, organizational effectiveness and movemen
 t impact.</p>\n<p>Specifically\, we want to:</p>\n<p>~Build more enduring 
 relationships among those organizing in North Carolina  on a range of issu
 es. Enduring relationships are those rooted in a clearer  understanding of
  and alignment around strategy as well as stronger knowledge of  each othe
 rs’ gifts and goals.</p>\n<p>~Enable leaders to integrate specific trans
 formational practices into their  work\, in order to shift out of limiting
  patterns\, cultivate greater personal  sustainability\, and increase impa
 ct on the issues and communities we care about.  Participants will leave w
 ith a clear sense of the many forms transformational  practice can take an
 d how to better incorporate it into both personal life and  organizational
  culture.</p>\n<p>~Begin to create a new framework for organizing and move
 ment building in the  state that shifts away from unhealthy and limiting p
 atterns (for example – turf  battles\, leadership exhaustion\, ideologic
 al conflict\, a mindset of scarce  resources) and towards greater collabor
 ation\, trust and impact.</p>\n<p>Conference Highlights</p>\n<p>Sessions l
 ed by partner organizations. We are excited to be partnering with  Bluepri
 nt NC\, Center for Participatory Change\, OpenSource Leadership Strategies
   and Rockwood Leadership Institute on this event.</p>\n<p>A keynote addre
 ss from  Gihan Perera\, Executive Director of Florida New Majority\, a sta
 tewide  organization working to expand democracy and the leadership of und
 errepresented  communities. Prior to starting FNM\, Gihan co-founded and r
 an the Miami Workers  Center with a strong emphasis on transformational pr
 actice.</p>\n<p>A look at  strategy through both the stories and analysis 
 of movement-building. We will  look at successes and challenges that lift 
 up best practices and possibilities.</p>\n<p>Specific sessions for (1) org
 anizers in North Carolina and (2) capacity  builders\, including those who
  resource movement building astrainers\,  consultants and funders.</p>\n<p
