DESCRIPTION:<p>The Jambalaya Soul Slam is a monthly individual poetry compe
 tition. Each competition consists of 12 poets. The top 3 poets earn a cash
  prize. The winner earns an invitation to the Grand Slam Finals in April t
 o compete for a spot on the 2012 Bull City Slam Team (BCST). The BCST comp
 etes annually in regional and national slam competitions. In July\, instea
 d of an individual competition\, the BCST competes against other NC poetry
  slam teams to raise money for each team. Admission $7.</p>\n<p>8pm.<br />
