Pianist Kimberly Cann returns to our series with another exciting and varied program of Sonatas by Ludwig van Beethoven, Sergei Rachmaninoff, and Florence Price. Kimberly Cann is a concert pianist, educator, and social advocate and currently serves as President of the Asheville Area Piano Forum. Born in the West Indies, Kimberly moved to the US with her family at age 6, and by the age of 18 she had performed with five orchestras and won her first national piano competition. In 2006 she received her masters degree from the Eastman School of Music. She has been featured on several national and international media programs and has had the pleasure of working with many esteemed artists through the years.
