\nCome and join th e discussion as we explore the basics of mindfulness and the attitudes hel pful to developing a practice outlined in Jon Kabat-Zinn's 'Full Catastrop he Living.'
\nEach session we will focus on one at titude and what it means to us\, both in our meditation practice and in ou r daily lives.
\nOur first session will be on the attitude of 'Non-judging' or taking the stance of an impartial witness to your inner and outer experience\, being able to notice and step back from the constant stream of liking and disliking thoughts we have cluttering ou r minds much of the time and finding the peace which comes from seeing thi ngs as they really are.
\nThat's just my short def inition. We will read together Kabat-Zinn's segment from the book\, I'll s hare a few stories and then we can open the discussion. What do you think of non-judging? How do you use it in your life or where do you want more o f this attitude? What does our culture say about judging?
