 ng>'Building and Managing Successful Teams\,'</strong> a half-day workshop
  that explores key characteristics of successful teams and their members. 
 Workshop leader <strong>Paul Mueller</strong> will talk about team leaders
 hip\, interviewing\, coaching\, and why people  choose to stay. We will al
 so explore decision types\, personality types\,  and common dysfunctions o
 f a team. As we shift focus to career and  project management topics\, we 
 will discuss project estimating\, scoping\,  and team workflows. Interacti
 ve discussions will enable attendees to  share experiences\, learn from ea
 ch other\, and find solutions that work  for your environments.<br /> <br 
 /> Breakfast will be provided. Networking begins at 8:30 AM EDT. The progr

 es.<br /><br />Bio for Paul Mueller<br />Paul Mueller owns UserAid\, which
  designs and implements innovative communication solutions. Paul has manag
 ed information development\, usability\, and graphic design teams across t
 he United States\, Bolivia\, and India. As a manager\, he has mentored man
 y team members and helped them to become active promoters of technical com
 munication through their service to STC\, their companies\, and the commun
 ity. Paul presents at conferences on technology and management topics\, an
 d he also speaks to STC chapters\, youth groups\, and university students 
 about technical communication. Paul received a B.S. in Computer Science an
 d a B.S. in Mathematics from Pennsylvania State University and has been in
 volved in technical communication for more than 20 years. Paul has served 
 STC Houston in many admin council and committee roles. At the Society leve
 l\, Paul served as a Director and he led several task forces.  He is curr
 ently the 2013 Technical Communication Summit Conference Manager and he ha
