McKay Healing Arts in Wilmington NC presents Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), which teaches meditation and gentle yoga to cultivate awareness, reduce stress, and create a greater sense of peace and ease. MBSR was created by Jon Kabat-Zinn and is taught worldwide, including at Stanford and Duke. Mindfulness encourages being fully present in our lives. People take an MBSR course for reasons that include stress, anxiety, depression, chronic pain, GI distress, chronic illness, fatigue, heart disease, insomnia, or grief/loss. HOURS: 6:30-8:30PM.
