For 23 years, the Greensboro Youth Chorus has offered children opportunities that enrich their lives through music education, and fostering inner qualities such as personal and group responsibility, independence, discipline, commitment, and self-esteem. Under the leadership of Artistic Director Ann Doyle, students learn music-reading and sight-singing skills, vocal training, choral techniques, and experience a variety of choral repertoire from various time periods and styles. The Greensboro Youth Chorus has had many prestigious and exciting performance experiences including state, national, and international competitions and festivals, as well as collaborations with outstanding conductors, composers, and instrumentalists. They have performed for the Southern Division Convention of the American Choral Directors Association and have toured British Columbia, Germany, France, Scotland, and England.
