Kids Together, the non-profit organization that supports Cary’s Kids Together Playground, will celebrate North Carolina’s Play Daze on Saturday, Novemebr 19, with its fourth annual Family Fun & Fitness Walk at Kids Together Playground at Marla Dorrel Park. Registration opens at 9:30 a.m. and the walk begins at 10:00 a.m. Entertainment and an awards ceremony will conclude by noon. KATAL the Kids Together Mascot will greet participants at the starting line for the 1.4-mile walk from Kids Together Playground along the Hinshaw Greenway, crossing the pedestrian bridge over US 1 & 64 to MacDonald Woods Park and returning by the same wheelchair and stroller friendly route. Participants will find refreshments, fitness games, goody bags, music and prizes at the finish line. An awards ceremony at 11:00 a.m. will recognize the Youngest Participant, Largest Family or Group, Coolest Shoes, Funniest Hat and Snazziest Wheels. Participants are encouraged to decorate their shoes, hats, wheelchairs and strollers. A decorating station will also be available at registration. A silent auction will feature a White Tiger Taekwondo Birthday Party, a Plasma Car from Learning Express and other gifts. Entry fees are set at $15 per family and $5 per individual.
