 the National Consumer Law Center\, the South Carolina Appleseed Legal Just
 ice Center and the Center for Responsible Lending for a two-day forum that
  will highlight various car ownership programs that work to assist familie
 s with obtaining a car or financing. National and state organizations will
  discuss lending programs and what consumers need to know to make informed
  decisions.<br /><br />National and regional topics will include understan
 ding the importance and impact of car ownership for economic success\, the
  barriers to car ownership and the difficulties consumers face accessing a
 dequate financing. Participants will also hear about the challenges and so
 lutions to keeping and using cars\, including issues related to insurance\
