Ginger Howard, a 17-year old golf player, has officially become a member of the LPGA (Ladies Professional Golf Association), making her the youngest ever. She is also the fifth black American woman to join the LPGA Tour. While her popularity is still very low, all of that will likely change as Howard continues to advance with her performance. Ginger has won 78 trophies, including 1st place at 41 out of 66 events. TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Praying for a romantic partner or close friend can lead to more cooperative and forgiving behavior toward the partner, according to a new study co-authored by a Florida State University researcher. The findings are significant because they are the first in which the partners who are the subject of the prayers reported a positive change in the behavior of the person who prayed, said Frank D. Fincham, eminent scholar and director of the Florida State University Family Institute.
On May 11, 2013, history will be written in the Ugandan town of Jinja, when the first African Ice Swimming Championship is arranged. Jinja residents received inspiration for this from the city of Skellefteå in Northern Sweden, where over the past two years the Swedish and Scandinavian Winter Swim champi-onships in have been arranged and hosted. "In order to succeed in implementing this spectacu-lar event, we will fill a swimming pool with about 50 tons of ice," says Jinja's Mayor, Mo-hammed Baswari Kezaala Al-Hajji.

Less than Equal: Racial Disparities in Wealth Accumulation, from the Urban Institute’s Opportunity and Ownership project, analyzed data and trends from 1983-2010. Over these years, the average household income of Whites remained double that of either Black or Latino families.
