| Invitation for Bids The Housing Authority of the City of Durham, North Carolina will receive individual bids for a Tot Lot at Club Boulevard (NC13-09), located at 2415 Glenbrook Drive, Durham 27704. The work will consist of the removal of playground equipment on existing Tot Lot, regrading area, installing new playground equipment, and site amenities. Bids will be received until 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 8, 2005 at the Housing Authority of the City of Durham, 330 East Main Street, Durham, North Carolina 27701 at which time all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Complete bidding documents may be inspected in the offices of the architect, The New Synergy, Inc., 353 West Main Street, Durham, North Carolina 27701; at AGC, CMD, FW Dodge and the UDI Minority Contractors Resource Center. Complete sets of bidding documents may be obtained by qualified bidders upon deposit of fifty dollars ($50.00) per set in cash or certified check. Orders for bid documents must be placed directly with the architect, The New Synergy, Inc. (919) 683-2055. The Plan Deposit will be refunded to bidders submitting bids provided the documents are returned in good condition not later than ten (10) days following the bid date, and to bidders not submitting bids provided documents are returned in good condition no later than five (5) days prior to the bid date. Bid proposals are invited on the basis of a lump-sum single-prime contract. A bid security of not less than five percent (5%) of the bid amount is required. All bidders are hereby notified that they must have a North Carolina General Contractor’s Limited License, Building Classification. Attention is called to the provisions for equal employment opportunity and payment not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the specifications. The Housing Authority of the City of Durham reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any formality in the bidding. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of 90 days subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the Housing Authority of the City of Durham, North Carolina. Each bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope, showing the bid title, firm, date and time of opening on the front of the envelope. The Authorized official of the firm must sign all bids. Bids may be rejected if they show any omissions, alterations or irregularities of any kind. Forms to be returned with the bid: Bid Form. Bid Bond. Non-Collusive Affidavit. Representations, Certifications, and other Statements of Bidders. Projected Utilization of Section 3 Residents as Employees & Section 3 Business.
