Jobs Are Leaving

Henry Duarte -- The numbers are startling: 3.3 million jobs in less
than 15 years. Thats the number of U.S. jobs expected to be
lost overseas by 2015 according to a recent report by Forrester
Research. But the sheer size of the exodus isnt whats
worrying analysts the most, its the type of jobs. Some critics
are worried that this time its the corporate main office is
getting ready to shut down and head out of the country, packing
up cubicles and all.

Initiative Aims to Increase Minority Contract Participation

PITTSBURGH, PA (NNPA) Pennsylvania is fundamentally changing
the way it does business and administration officials say the change
will result in more state contracts for minority- and women-owned
firms and millions in cost savings. This initiative will allow General
Services, which is responsible for nearly all state contracting
and purchasing, to increase business opportunities for minority-
and women-owned firms while eliminating redundant and excessive

Lawsuit Charges Florida with Mis-education of Minority Children

TALLAHASSEE, FL On this particular day, we have filed
against the State of Florida for the mis-education and the lack
of education of minority children, said Adora Obi Nweze, Florida
NAACP president, during a recent press conference to announce the
organizations dissatisfaction with the current state of education
in Florida. The organization has mailed the complaint to the federal
offices. The complaint says the organization seeks relief from the
inequity that has divided white and black students in Floridas

Dallas first black chief of police, Terrell Bolton, continues,
spawning off and touching several other sensitive side issues along
the way. At least two more issues have been raised to the surface,
resulting however in the black and Hispanic community passing a
critical test toward solidarity, as opposed to turning against each
